Ardino - Devil 's Bridge , so named bridge spanning near the town of Ardino , Bulgaria . Not without reason the locals call the bridge with the word ' devil ' . There is a mystical story that overshadows the bridge until now .

' Sheytan Kyupriya ' aka Devil's Bridge is an old stone bridge that crosses the river Arda in Bulgaria . It is located approximately 10 km from the city Ardino , and 4 km from the village of Galabovo in Banite region .
This bridge stretches along 56 meters with a width of approximately 3.5 meters . The shape is curved , the middle has a height of 11 meters from the water surface of the river .

Citing Bulgaria Travel website on Wednesday ( 01/15/2014 ) , this bridge was built in 1515-1518 by a man . His name is Dimitar , who came from the village which is now a city Nedelino .

There is a special reason why this bridge called the Devil 's Bridge , or ' Sheytan Kyupriya ' . Not many locals who dared to pass after dusk .

Myth, Dimitar wife died while her husband built a bridge . Then her spirit as one with the bridge construction , and is said to still haunt to this day . Another story , supposedly there are demons feet in one part of the bridge .

But because of its authenticity , the bridge is asked as a cultural monument in 1984 . The road to the bridge is drivable car , and now tourists can enjoy a picnic and recreation nearby.
